Board of Education moves forward with superintendent search process

At the January 23 meeting of SCUSD’s Board of Education, Board President Patrick Kennedy presented an update on the search for a permanent superintendent to replace Jonathan Raymond, who resigned his post to spend more time with family in Boston.

In December, the Board appointed Dr. Sara Noguchi, a veteran teacher, principal and administrator, to serve as interim superintendent. The Board is now reviewing responses to a Request for Qualifications it issued for an executive search firm to head up the process of finding a permanent superintendent, President Kennedy said.

Once a firm is selected, the Board will work to develop a calendar schedule that “affords the public input that we think is important” to the process, he said.
