Application deadline for LCAP Advisory Committee extended

e-Connections Post

The deadline for submitting an LCAP Advisory Committee application has been extended to Friday, January 2, to give interested parents, staff and community members more time to apply.

Applicants can apply online or download an application (available in all languages) at www.scusd.edu/lcap.

The Local Control and Accountability Plan is a companion piece to the Local Control Funding Formula, which gives districts more flexibility in spending state resources in exchange for greater accountability and increased community involvement. The LCAP defines goals and priorities for the district and sets actions and accountability measures to improve student learning. It specifically calls out actions to improve the performance of English learners, foster youth and low-income children.
