American Legion students march to honor civil rights heroes
In honor of Black History Month, American Legion High School participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. march. This is the third consecutive year that American Legion High School participated in the march, and this year 60 students and staff took part.
“At American Legion High School we strive to educate our students in different ways,” says Principal Stan Echols. “By participating in the march, we are supporting community engagement that provides our students with valuable life lessons. Our students are honoring the experiences that Martin Luther King Jr. went through for equality for all.”
Added student David Quintero: “It was an experience of a lifetime.”
