instruction by highly qualified staff
- Provides
professional development opportunities with Title I funds and other
resources, to the extent feasible, for administrators, teachers, and
other school staff who work with participating children
- Provides strategies to increase parental involvement.
1% of school funds are to be dedicated to parent involvement
activities. These may
include family nights, specific training in areas of need, parent
outreach, parent attendance at workshops and conferences,
development of parent compact, etc.
- Development of Plan and Budget:
Per Ed. Code, all schools receiving categorical funding
must develop a plan and budget outlining how funds will be used to
provide supplemental services to identified students. Once developed, school plans are forwarded to the Board of
Education for approval.
