Support of Core Beliefs

Staff Development:

  • Contract expenses for external presenters

  • Materials, duplication

  • Release time for attendees

  • Stipends for attendees and in-house presenters (beyond normal work day)

  • Substitutes

  • Hospitality (means, name tags, child care for parents attending, etc.)

  • Conference attendance

  • Out-of-district travel

Support Personnel:

  • Counselors, nurses, psychologists above the base formula

  • Community liaison and/or parent advisor

  • Hall monitors for school safety

  • In-district mileage for support personnel

  • Stipends for staff to conduct home visits or Student Review Teams

Materials:

Materials (pamphlets, books video and audio-cassette tapes, copy paper, clerical supplies to support supplemental activities, etc.)

 

Support of Instruction

 

Staff Development:

  • Contract expenses for external presenters

  • Materials, duplication

  • Stipends for attendees and in-house presenters (beyond normal work day)

  • Substitutes

  • Hospitality (meals, name tags, child care for parents attending, etc.)

Instructional materials above the base or supplemental and aligned to the core curriculum

  • Library books in English and the primary languages of the student

  • Software aligned to the core curriculum

  • Instructional supplies to support the core curriculum (bulletin board  supplies, manipulatives, additional copy paper, art supplies, science experiment supplies, etc.)

  • Supplemental texts and other instructional materials (that are aligned with core curriculum and above base allocation, and approved by the district)

  • Games to support the core curriculum

  • Video tapes and audio cassettes aligned to the core curriculum

  • TVs, VCRs, tape players, video cameras, computers, printers to support supplemental activities

Support Personnel:

  • Instructional sides that meet designated criteria/aides to administer IPT

  • Hourly pay for translation and interpretations

Support for Data-Driven Culture

  • External expert to guide analysis of disaggregated data

  • Clerical support to organize and create displays of data collected

Support Activities:

  • Collection of various types of data

  • Regular meetings to review disaggregated data led by an external expert

  • Grade level meetings to plan actions in response to data reports

  • Classroom visitations to observe positive instructional practices

  • Meetings to share data with staff

  • Meetings to share data with parents

Support materials:

  • Research articles

  • Software (database)

  • Duplication supplies

  • Paper, binders, labels, etc.
