California Home Visiting Center provides a variety of services to
California schools that are interested in creating or enhancing
their Home Visiting programs. The Center’s services include:
Ongoing trainings are provided to teachers, school administrators,
parents and other individuals who would like to learn about the
best practices and techniques for parent-teacher home visits.

We believe that teachers who are motivated and commited to conducting
home visits are the best “keepers of the flame.” The Home
Visiting Teacher Corps is a group of California teachers who voluntarily
participate in providing ongoing coaching/peer support to other
teachers. If you are interested in joining the Home Visiting Teacher

The California Home Visiting Center maintains a thourough collection
of useful resources and contacts, offering teachers, administrators
and parents the most current and relavant information on home visits
and parent involvement. The Center can provide: research supporting
the success of home visiting, information regarding available home
visiting/parent involvement funding opportunities, materials to
use when providing a home visiting training to staff, and many other
resources.
