| The
Florin Technology Education Center is a public adult school operated by
the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Technology Education
Center is located on the corner of 24th and Florin, on Florin Road.
Free parking is available on the school grounds for all students and the
center is served by Regional Transit. A variety of
classes are in session year-round with primary emphasis on job
preparation classes.
The Florin
Technology Education Center Vocational classes include classes in auto
mechanic, Bus Driver, dispatcher, Truck driver, introduction to
computers and office technology. The Non-Vocational classes
include Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Languages
(ESL), High School Classes, General Education Development (GED), and
Computer Class for Older Adults.
Student
support services are available including financial aid/Pell grants for
those eligible, career counseling and planning, academic and career
assessment, resume development and job announcements.
For adults
needing to brush up on core skills including reading, writing, language
arts or math, the Florin Technology Center offers classes daily.
