PASSage After School Program

PASSage After School Program (AKA Club YEX @ Will C. Wood & Project Family @ Fern Bacon)
 

Description

PASSage (Parents and Students Strengthening Abilities and Generating Excellence) is a middle school after school Program facilitated by a structured partnership between the SCUSD, City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center, Inc. (SCCSC).  The SCUSD has responsibility for the administrative oversight of the project. The City or SCCSC manages the day-to-day operation of the program at the school sites.  The PASSage after School program focuses on improving students’ academic competencies particularly in the areas of reading and math.  PASSage offers one-to-one and small group tutoring and homework assistance.  The program also includes various enrichment and recreational activities, such as drama, dance, art, flag football, basketball, computer skill instruction, and a variety of games and an opportunity for informal social interaction.  Additionally, drug, alcohol and violence prevention activities and programs are provided.

Albert Einstein, California, Fern Bacon, John Still, Kit Carson, Sam Brannan & Will C. Wood Middle Schools.
 

Hours of Operation

Days: M- F   Hours: From school closure to 6:00 PM (specific schedule varies by site)

Fees

Free – Nominal fees may be charged for participation in special events and/or field trips.

Eligibility Requirements

Enrolled in the school where the program is located.
 

Application Process

Applications accepted on a first come - first served basis and are available at school sites.  Some site may reserve space for administrative/teacher referral.
