The Board Safety and Violence Prevention Advisory Committee exists to promote programs to provide safety and violence prevention for students and staff at district sites. It meets monthly at the Serna Center to fulfill this mission. It is composed of school board members, district staff, site staff, first responder community partners, parents, students and community members. It recommends board policy, monitors current programs authorized by the board and seeks new programs and partners to provide safety and violence prevention.
