The President of the SAC is an elected position and a public representative of the council.  He/She maintains high visibility among students and district administration.  This position works very closely with the Student Board Member to ensure youth input and participation in decision-making processes.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

v      Facilitate and set the agenda for all SAC meetings

v      Work directly with the SAC and the Youth Engagement Coordinator to promote authentic youth engagement at the high schools

v      Appoint standing committees and/or task force and monitor their progress

v      Assist with evaluation, report-writing and grant-writing efforts

v      Assist in community partnership development
