The Serna Center is centrally located and provides a one stop service for parents and employees. Among the features are:
- Employee Services. Personnel, payroll and other services in one combined, easy-to-find area.
- Parent Support Center. Parent assistance with enrollment processes and how to help their students succeed in school.
- Teacher/Staff Support Center. Materials lab, curriculum services and professional library open and staffed to provide access for teachers and others during convenient hours.
- Student Attendance Review Board (SARB) and Behavior and Placement Office. Meeting rooms and a reception area for parents attending behavior and placement meetings.
- Parks and Recreation. The city is leasing space in the building and is a partner in promoting joint use of facilities and services.
- Parking. Ample free parking for visitors and employees.
- Meeting Rooms. Large community room available for community organizations and groups as well as district personnel. Many smaller meeting rooms and conference rooms will also be available in the building.
- Training Rooms. Staff development training rooms for teachers, principals and classified staff and two computer training rooms.
- Cafeteria. A full service cafeteria with outdoor tables will be open during the day.
